The recovery — although sluggish — is under way, but when it comes to unemployment, the reality remains grim. The national unemployment rate is at 9.7 percent. But among blacks, it jumps to over 16 percent. For young white men, it's now over 20 percent. And for young black men, it is a whopping 46.5 percent. Linn Washington, associate professor of journalism at Temple, offered his thoughts on what 2011 would bring. "As an optimist, I would hope that there is change.
