Temple made a wise choice for this year's Temple University Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award: Leonard Barrack. The communal/ civic leader and philanthropist who cites Temple for its inspired role in his life—was saluted at the school's 2010 Founder's Celebration. Barrack’s many commitments include serving as president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and being a Temple board of trustees member since 2001 as well as the force behind the Public Interest Fellowship Program at the Beasley School of Law, where he established chairs to honor the late Charles R. Weiner and Harold E. Kohn.
