If you want a Halloween pumpkin, but don't want one that will rot, the glass department at Tyler School of Art can help. They're selling glass pumpkins to raise money for visiting artists. Tyler grad student Emma Salamon explained how students create the pumpkins: "You gather hot glass out of a furnace full of hot lava material and blow it into a mold that has ridges, and then blow it out into a pumpkin form." Students hope to raise at least $15,000. The pumpkins are selling for between $15 and $35. You can check out the pumpkins at Tyler on Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
