The debate over healthcare reform has gone on for decades, and now that landmark legislation has become the law of the land, many questions remain. One of them: How will healthcare reform go down in the history books? "I think this is going to go down as one of those tectonic shifts," said William Aaronson, assistant dean of doctoral programs and director of healthcare management programs for the Fox School of Business. "I think this is going to go down as one of those major pieces of historic legislation that will be compared to Medicare and Medicaid in '65 and Social Security in 1935 in terms of expanding the commitment to a social safety net both in terms of health and welfare."
