Today is being called "Everybody Draw Mohammed" day. It started as a stand by cartoonists against censorship after Comedy Central edited an episode of "South Park" that showed Mohammed in a bear costume. The invitation to draw Mohammed has incited some Muslims around the world to issue death threats. Kahlid Blankinship, associate professor of religion at Temple, said that Islam, like Judaism, prohibits representation of sacred figures in pictures. "That's a rule for Muslims. Generally, Muslim law does not look into what non-Muslims do among themselves," he said.
