Movie theaters to include more healthy snacks
Movie theater chain AMC announced that it would start offering more healthy foods at its snack bars and pricing less healthy options, such as soda and popcorn, so high that it would prohibit people from buying. Nicole Patience, a registered dietitian at Temple, says that movie snacking is a prime example of mindless eating, and that it would be a perfect time to work in extra fruits and vegetables. "It might even help you fill in a few extra servings if you were short that day. You would leave the movie healthier having had this snack bonus."
