Philadelphia Media Network has been purchased for a fraction of the $515 million paid for it in 2006. The challenges facing the company remain substantial. Temple journalism professor Christopher Harper said more people are getting their news from the Internet. “I don’t think the Inquirer and Daily News have adopted quickly enough to really look at covering neighborhoods and also to produce multimedia stories.”
