Jamira Burley has made combating youth violence her mission and has been tapped by Mayor Nutter to head the city’s Youth Commission. "I never thought I could rise above my circumstances," the Temple 2012 graduate said last week. "No matter how many times I tell my story, I can’t end youth violence alone."
