PBJ reports on gift to Temple in support of entrepreneurship
Two Temple alumni — Alan and Deborah Cohen — have recommended a $500,000 gift to their alma mater via Goldman Sachs Gives. The gift allows Temple's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute (IEI) to expand its "Be Your Own Boss Bowl," moving it into sixth place nationally and first in the region for the amount of money awarded by a university-run business plan competition. "The gift from the Cohens really shoots us into the elite category," said Jaine Lucas, executive director of the IEI, which is housed at Temple's Fox School of Business.
