An Inquirer article praised Temple President Ann Weaver Hart for consulting with neighborhood groups and coming up with Temple 20/20, a master construction and renovation plan that won't grow Temple's footprint. Instead, the university will build on its existing property. The construction program's "most dramatic result" will be a $148 million residence hall and retail complex. According to Hart, the complex should provide more many jobs for nearby residents. "That's a good way for an institution to be seen as part of a community," wrote the Inquirer.
