The U.S. Food and Drug Administration sent warning letters Wednesday to the manufacturers of alcoholic energy drinks telling them it is illegal to produce the beverages, and is likely to banish them from store shelves nationwide. Robert McNamara, chair of Emergency Medicine at Temple's School of Medicine, was glad to hear of the FDA's action. "We've seen a lot of students, younger people, use the product and get into trouble."
