On the eve of Temple football's big game with Penn State, media coverage of Head Coach Al Golden and the team's renaissance continued. A feature-length profile of Golden in the Inquirer documented his life from his childhood in New Jersey to his revival of the Temple program. In five years, Golden has turned the Temple Owls from "a national joke" into a contender that is 3-0 heading into Saturday's pivotal matchup. "The players' academics, discipline and self esteem are up, and the program's brand image as a renegade loser has been wiped away," Ashley Fox. "To call him a savior might not be too strong," Temple Athletic Director Bill Bradshaw said.
