Long touted as a sure-fire cure for ambition, it seems marijuana can also help in the treatment of HIV. According to the results of a trial by Temple University researchers, synthetic cannabinoid compounds were shown to be effective in helping the body fight HIV infection. The compounds triggered a response in white blood cell receptors that repressed the virus and could also protect against complications associated with the illness.
