Retailers set to hire more seasonal workers this year

Major retailers plan to hire more temporary employees for the upcoming holiday season, including Toys R Us, which will increase its seasonal hires by 5,000. Last year, the toy chain kept on 15 percent of its seasonal workers as full-time employees. "From a retail-client perspective, hiring is up," said Tony Petrucci, a Fox School of Business professor. "They're hiring a lot more marketing professionals, executive and management, which tends to be one of the first positions that comes back post-recession."
