Scandal will tarnish Fiesta Bowl CEO's legacy

Last week, an investigative report commissioned by the Fiesta Bowl painted a picture of its CEO, John Junker, as the face of corruption, lavish spending and possible illegal activity. Colleagues and other insiders say this report will tarnish his 21-year legacy as a visionary. "If he had a fault, it was he always was thinking two weeks into the future," said Herman Frazier, senior associate athletic director at Temple and former Fiesta Bowl chairman. "When you do that, you sometimes miss the two weeks you just surpassed. You miss some details. But he was a visionary, and sometimes that's how visionaries think."
