Sex and politics: Hardwired for risks?

Is there a connection between power and sex? Is power a very strong aphrodisiac or is it simply that people in power, such as politicians, see themselves as above the law? Politics is a risky life, but it's also a thrilling life that tends to attract intellectual risk takers, says Temple psychologist Frank Farley. "Sometimes the physical side of risk taking enters the picture and they take risks that probably most of us wouldn't take and sometimes they get caught. It's as if this risk-taking quality is something that is hardwired into their personalities," said Farley.
