Student Health Services dietitian breaks down new fruit, vegetable rules

New dietary guidelines laid out by the United States Department of Agriculture recommend eating between five and nine servings of fruits and vegetables a day. The first step to fitting them into our diet is to understand what constitutes a serving size. Temple Student Health Services registered dietitian Nicole Patience says that a serving of fruit "would be an apple the size of a tennis ball. If it’s leafy vegetables, a serving would be one cup."
