The commercialization of university research has long been touted as a possible economic driver for the state and the region. In the just-ended fiscal year, Temple received nearly $2.5 million from 24 licensing agreements. That’s more than double its licensing income in fiscal 2011. “We are probably in a position to greatly exceed the number of deals executed in the year just ended,” said Stephen Nappi, Temple’s director of technology development and commercialization.
