Temple and Villanova rivalry among the area’s best

Since Temple and Villanova’s inaugural game in 1908, the rivalry has been a favorite of many Philadelphians, including Temple football coach Steve Addazio. "I love to play Villanova," he said. "I think it's good for Philadelphia. In college football, you love regional and geographical rivalries. And for us to be able to play a nonconference game right here, right in the city, is a real positive."
