Temple crowd hears case for tackling U.S. debt

David M. Walker, former U.S. comptroller general, told a crowd that jammed Temple's Fox School of Business on Tuesday that it's time to stop "stupid" federal promises of unlimited medical, education, and military spending. He was joined by former Gov. Ed Rendell on the $10 Million a Minute Tour, organized by Walker's Comeback America Initiative to draw attention to the rate at which his organization says the national debt deepens — by $10 million every minute.
