Alaysha Claiborne, a Temple freshman from York, Pa., has been "winning hearts" at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. Claiborne "quickly became the heart, soul, and inspiration" of the Pennsylvania delegation. In high school, she founded a Gay Straight Alliance, joined the Planned Parenthood Federation of America's youth advisory council, became a Planned Parenthood peer educator and won a college scholarship from the National Organization for Women. "The reason I'm here is, I'm a true believer in diversity," Claiborne said. "I'm glad to meet so many people who feel the same way."
