Temple Law Dean Epps to oversee Philly Stop-and-Frisk policy

According to a widely-reported settlement agreement announced yesterday, JoAnne Epps, dean of Temple's Beasley School of Law, will serve as a court-appointed monitor overseeing Philadelphia police officers' use of "stop and frisk" searches. As an independent monitor, Epps will make recommendations based on regular reviews of the data on stop-and-frisk reports collected by the Police Department.
