Several recent incidents of youth violence have drawn national attention. Host Michel Martin spoke with three experts, including Temple psychologist Laurence Steinberg, about why young people become violent and how to prevent it. "The trend we can point to is the opposite of what people think," said Steinberg. "Youth violence has declined nationally since the 1990s. We shouldn't generalize from these incidents to the teen population at large."
