Temple sensor assists in detecting cancerous tumors

Media Outlet:

Researchers at Temple have developed a virtual touch sensor that can touch a lump in the body and know almost immediately if it's likely to be cancerous or not. "Malignant tumors are stiffer, bigger and immobile, so if you can detect those characteristics, then you can identify and classify a tumor early," said electrical engineer Chang-Hee Won, who led the sensor's development.
