Temple's new president, Neil Theobald, took office on Jan. 1 and has wasted no time getting to work. His first week on the job included meetings with Temple faculty, community leaders and Drexel president John Fry. On the immediate agenda are several trips to Harrisburg, including one to meet the governor. Theobald met with local legislators during monthly visits to Philadelphia in the fall. He wants to work cooperatively with Temple's neighbors, saying: "We need to be responsive to their needs."
