Target bused 1,200 Temple students from campus and rearranged the store for an after-hours event where they could shop for dorm room comforts. Students’ carts were filled with hanging mirrors, garbage cans, shower caddies and bed-in-a-bag sets. Gina D'Annunzio, director of student activities at Temple, said the timing was good for this year's event. She remembers that as a little girl she had dreamed of getting "locked in a mall" — a common fantasy, judging by the scene at Target.
