As India's minister of human resource development, Pallam Raju oversees the country's entire school system, including higher education. On Thursday, he described the challenges of his job at the commencement ceremony for Temple's Fox School of Business and School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. "Every day was special," Raju said of his time at Temple, where he earned his MBA in 1986. Raju added that the university, which awarded him an honorary doctor of humane letters at the university commencement, was "very wonderful and enabling."
