Temple's track may not be the most glamorous and secluded training location for one of the nation's best long jumpers. But for Shameka Marshall, a Temple track and field coach, it's a perfect place to learn how to tune out distractions — an important skill for Marshall as she prepares for the big stage at the U.S. Olympic Trials this week. Marshall is ranked No. 8 among all U.S. women going into the trials, but the event is wide open. "I feel really good, really confident going in," Marshall said. "I've had a good year so far, I've been consistent, and I feel really good about where I am."
