Temple's School of Medicine expands in Pittsburgh
Temple's School of Medicine is expanding once again — in Pittsburgh. It is collaborating with West Penn Allegheny Health System to establish a four-year medical campus. Larry Kaiser, Temple's senior executive vice president for health sciences, dean of the School of Medicine and CEO of Temple University Health System, said doctors are more likely to begin practicing in the places where they train. "This is to allow us to attract students from Western Pennsylvania and to educate them, ideally in a place where they will stay and practice," he said.
