The socially conscious clothing and accessory company, United By Blue, boasts two past winners of Temple's Be Your Own Boss Bowl. Mike Cangi won the undergraduate category in 2011, and company founder Brian Linton won the top prize in 2008. "Not coming from the business school, that competition and the [Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute] really were foundational for a lot of the different things that are taught through the actual process of developing and entering a business plan competition," said Linton, a College of Liberal Arts graduate.
