After the announcement of the death of Osama bin Laden, spontaneous celebrations appeared at college campuses across the region, with a fervor not seen since the World Series. Temple psychologist Frank Farley said any number of contributing factors went into people assembling the way they did to celebrate bin Laden's death. "A good piece of the Afghanistan War was due to trying to get Osama bin Laden," he said. "The emotional level for the past 10 years has been high. In the early days for sure it was very high. We shouldn't be surprised if there's an emotional outpouring over this."
