As you know Hai-Lung Dai has agreed to move from the College of Science and Technology dean's position to take the post of interim provost. I am delighted to announce that Michael Klein, Laura H. Carnell Professor of Science and director of the Institute for Computational Molecular Sciences, will assume the role of interim dean at the College of Science and Technology, effective July 1.

Professor Klein has an impressive record of accomplishments in science, administration and building successful teams of interdisciplinary researchers. His experience will serve him and the college well. Both Hai-Lung and I have complete confidence in Professor Klein's abilities. We know you will enthusiastically support him as interim dean.
