Temple's momentum attracted 'GameDay' to Philly

Temple is riding a wave of momentum that includes football, rankings, and fundraising records.

Temple’s momentum is being felt around the city, as demontrated by a Sunday front page story in The Philadelphia Inquirer. “No question, this is Temple’s moment,” the Inquirer reports. “But by no means are the gains just about football.”

The story references the university’s record 30,000-plus applicants this year, six-spot jump in U.S. News and World Report rankings and an unprecedented $84.2 million in fundraising

The university's red-hot energy has attracted ESPN's 'College GameDay' to Philadelphia. The popular college football pregame show will visit the City of Brotherly Love as No. 21/22-ranked Temple gets ready to host No. 9/9-ranked Notre Dame on Halloween night at a sold-out Lincoln Financial Field (kickoff at 8 p.m. on ABC). College GameDay will originate from Philadelphia’s iconic Independence Mall that morning.
