Kaiser nominated for ‘Modern Healthcare’ recognition

The leader of Temple’s healthcare enterprise is vying for a spot among the 50 Most Influential Physician Executives and Leaders.

Larry Kaiser, dean, president and CEO of Temple’s healthcare enterprise, is one of 150 candidates nominated for a place on Modern Healthcare’s list of the 50 Most Influential Physician Executives and Leaders. Voting is open until Feb. 19 and the top 50 will be revealed on Apr. 4.

According to Modern Healthcare, the list honors physicians working in the healthcare industry who are deemed by their peers and an expert panel to be the most influential in terms of demonstrating leadership and impact. These physician leaders are innovators, excel in community services and demonstrate reputable executive authority.

In addition to his work at Temple, Kaiser has served in a number of leadership capacities for professional societies and associations, and has been a director of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In 2004, he was elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences. He was recently named a “Nonprofit Hospital and Health System CEO to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review.
