Temple fencing alumna trains for Olympics and a career in medicine
Kamali Thompson graduated from the College of Science and Technology in 2012 and has since moved on to pursue a career in the medical field—while training to make the 2020 Olympics at the same time.

Since graduating from Temple in 2012, women’s fencing star Kamali Thompson has been training fiercely, with her sights set on the 2020 U.S. Olympic team. Amidst an intense athletic schedule, she’s also earned her MBA at Rutgers Business School and is currently in medical school (also at Rutgers) to become an orthopedic surgeon.
