Temple University showcased advancements in the newly released 2025 U.S. News and World Report’s Best Graduate School rankings, marking significant achievements across multiple disciplines such as education and law.

Temple’s Beasley School of Law rose four spots to No. 50 (out of 197) in the best law school rankings, highlighting its commitment to preparing law students for success.

The Law School’s healthcare and international law programs both rose as well, each to the No. 13 spot, which is the highest ever for healthcare law at Temple. Trial advocacy remained in the top three, ranking No. 2, and the part-time division remained in the top 10, ranking No. 9.

“My faculty colleagues are relentlessly focused on student success and on delivering a world-class legal education that integrates scholarship, teaching and service,” said Dean Rachel Rebouché.

“These rankings reflect their commitment as well as the caliber of Temple Law students. I’m pleased to see their hard work recognized in this way.”

She commended Temple’s trial advocacy program, which has been ranked in the top three every year since U.S. News began ranking the specialty program.

“Trial advocacy is at the heart of a Temple legal education for good reason,” Rebouché said. “The skills, strategy and ethical decision-making it requires of students are essential to zealous advocacy in any practice setting. Temple’s trial advocacy program produces the country’s most confident, capable lawyers.”

Temple’s College of Education and Human Development has risen to No. 40 (out of 473) among the best graduate schools of education, moving up eight spots since last year’s rankings. This ranking demonstrates the college’s commitment to academic excellence, innovative research and dedication to shaping the future of education.

“The College of Education and Human Development is proud of our elevated prominence in research, teaching and service as evidenced by our nationally recognized faculty, excellent programming and deep community relationships that result in all students having access to an outstanding education,” said Monika Williams Shealey, dean of the College of Education and Human Development. “The rise in rankings underscore what we already know, which is that the Temple College of Education and Human Development is poised to reach greater heights.”

Other Temple programs ranked in the top 50 nationally including clinical psychology criminology, occupational therapy, painting/drawing, printmaking, public health, social work, speech-language pathology and statistics.

Every year, U.S. News ranks professional schools and programs in business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing.

The rankings are based on expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school's faculty, research, students and post-graduate outcomes for them.
