Ann Weaver Hart joined with, left to right, Penn State University President Graham Spanier, University of Pittsburgh Chancellor Mark Nordenberg and Lincoln University President Ivory Nelson in Harrisburg on Tuesday to testify before the Pennsylvania House Appropriations Committee. The committee was holding budget hearings on the Commonwealth’s support for the state-related institutions of higher education as part of the state budget process.

State law requires a state budget to be enacted by June 30. The Commonwealth appropriation for Temple University funds more than 20 percent of the university’s operating budget.
