It's okay to have favorite foods that make you feel better, but when your emotions drive you to overeat or to eat all the wrong things, it's time to get help. Fortunately, Temple now has a study underway to help people over that hurdle. Led by Edie Goldbacher, a post-doctoral fellow at Temple's Center for Obesity Research, the study looks for the best tactics for breaking that heart and stomach connection. "The emotions seem to run the gamut from things like stress or anxiety, to sadness or boredom," Goldbacher said. "For some people it's different emotions and for some people it's just one emotion."
