Temple filmmaker uncovers story of female "computers" in WWII

We've all heard of Rosie the Riveter, the iconic symbol of women pitching in when men went off to fight in World War II. But another group of women labored for the American cause in secret. Filmmaker LeAnn Erickson, a professor at Temple, tells their story in her new documentary "Top Secret Rosies." "For three years they labored around the clock performing high-level mathematical computations to create ballistics tables for every weapon in the United States arsenal," she said.
