Teaching the "rule of law" in China

Students studying at Tsinghua University in Beijing, through the "one of a kind" LL.M. program offered by Temple's Beasley School of Law, learn about rights not recognized in China, wrote two U.S. District Court judges for the Eastern District of Pa. in an opinion piece. "In continually developing new rule of law initiatives, Temple can only further the liberalization of the Chinese legal system, and, we hope, move China toward recognition of human rights on a broad scale and give judicial independence a foothold," they wrote.
