Philly's brightest kids showcase science skills at Temple

More than 500 middle and senior high school students from the city's public, parochial, private and charter schools came to Temple's Student Pavilion to participate in the 32nd annual George Washington Carver Science Fair, Philly's largest science fair for school children. "Science controls our lives, from the day we're born until the day we die," said Carver Science Fair Chairman Thomas Anderson Jr., who retired from Temple as associate vice president for community affairs in 2005, but continues to run the fair that he founded in 1979.
