Race showcases Temple's "strong commitment" to bicycling

When Temple hosted a segment of the annual Philly Phlyer collegiate cycling race earlier this spring, it gave the university a chance to showcase Temple's "strong commitment to promoting bicycle use on campus." Race organizers worked with Bike Temple, the university-wide bicycling advocacy organization, to build support for the event with the help of Glenn Eck, assistant superintendent of grounds with the Office of Facilities Management. Thanks to the efforts of Facilities and Campus Safety Services, the result was a new, "wildly successful" short course and "excellent racing" at Main Campus.
