New owners could breathe life into 76ers franchise

The Sixers franchise has struggled for years, according to Joseph Mahan, assistant professor of sport and recreation management at Temple's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, but he says a change at the top could improve that — provided the team stays in Philadelphia. "But I don't see [the 76ers] going anywhere," he said. "We have four major sports teams. I do see that the group that's in talks to buy the team has some local ties, so I don't think the team is going anywhere."
