iPalpiti, an international ensemble of young musicians (including several Boyer College of Music and Dance students), has become a "respected fixture" in the summer musical calendar in Los Angeles. They'll perform this Saturday at Walt Disney Concert Hall. iPalpiti's "musical excellence" arises in no small part from its founder, music director and conductor — Boyer faculty member Eduard Schmieder, a renowned violin pedagogue. "For me, it's important to convey the music in an electrifying manner, through incredible, enormous energy. If it's strong and sincere, then the audiences get excited. It's not enough to execute a composition technically," Shmieder said. "Fortunately, we have young musicians who play with such honest enthusiasm."
