A recent article in Newsweek claims America is facing a creativity crisis. According to Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, professor of psychology at Temple and expert in developmental psychology, it's true. "I think as parents, we spend a lot of time trying to push our children to be the very best and make sure they have all of the right answers. Truth is if we want to encourage creativity we have do more than have them have right answers," said Hirsh-Pasek. "It turns out information is doubling every two and a half years. So let's just imagine we can open up the head of the child and pour in all of the facts that there are today. In two and a half years, they would only have 50 percent....What they need is to learn how to learn."
