Who says you need snow to make a holiday? Take a peek at these various events on and surrounding campus and show some pride!

Post-burnout getting to anyone else? We’ve come a long way this semester. Don’t pump the brakes just yet, we’ve got a few fun activities coming up that might refuel you to keep driving!

Movie night at The Reel
All you need is your Temple ID and some friends to enjoy the most affordable cinema experience around. Temple’s movie theater, The Reel, is showing Top Gun: Maverick on Dec. 1–4! If Tom Cruise isn’t your jam, the theater also offers reservations for student groups. Visit the website to get the latest information. Oh, and don’t forget to pick up the famous Nacho Mega Reel Deal!

Catch a birdie at Rec-net night
This isn’t just a game of guessing Mark Cuban’s net worth. Come down to the rec courts and relieve stress by playing sports with a net: badminton, volleyball and table tennis.

Rec-net repeats every Friday night from 7 to 10 p.m. beginning on Nov. 11 until Dec. 9., held on the third floor rec courts of Pearson Hall, 1800 N. Broad St.

Friendsgiving never goes out of style
Whoever said Thanksgiving is just for family? Plan ahead to gather up your friends and host a friendsgiving before or during the long Thanksgiving weekend. Get Charlie Brown on that silver screen, make some mashed potatoes and grab that gravy.

A Dilworth Park mini-Christmas vacation
If you’ve been feeling lackluster, uninspired or run-of-the-mill lately, then a brief escape to City Hall’s very own Dilworth Park might be due. Sometimes a change of scenery is all that’s needed to revitalize and motivate you. Dilworth Park has ice-skating, the Greenfield Lawn’s Wintergarden oasis and a rustic ski chalet.

All of these events are already under way. Check out the deets here for further planning for your next weekend away from all that work.

All of the lights
Macy’s this year is getting lit, so don’t be a Scrooge and hide out in the dark. Macy’s is hosting, yet again, the famous light show in their Center City store. Standing tall at 1300 Market St., the building is hard to miss—just look for the famous holiday windows and the decorated tree.

The light show will be running from Nov. 25 through Dec. 31 at various times.
Mon.–Thurs.: 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Fri.–Sun.: 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Christmas Eve: 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.

Dialogue and an all-inclusive lunch
Reflect on Native American Heritage Month and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community over prizes, food and excellent conversation. Hosted by Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL), the lunch will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, in room 200B in the SAC.

Ya’ like jazz?
Has anyone ever called you Squidward for liking clarinet? Yeah, us neither. Check out Temple University’s Wind Symphony at the Performing Arts Center on Friday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m.! And if you’re more into strings, the Owlchestra Campus String Orchestra is performing here on Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m.! Show some support for these upcoming Boyer events
