The fall semester is rolling along, and November is packed with opportunities to learn, connect and have fun! From insightful workshops and film festivals to creative crocheting endeavors, this month is all about discovering new experiences and getting involved on campus.
Temple’s event calendar has a complete list of events, but here are a few of our favorites happening this month.
Cinematic pride: The 5th Annual DiamondQ Film Festival!
Lights, camera, action! The DiamondQ Film Festival is back for its fifth year, and it’s serving up an array of stories that celebrate LGBTQ+ voices. Watch cutting-edge films curated by the Queer Film Collective and stick around for director chats that’ll give all the behind-the-scenes vibes. Don’t miss out on a night that’s sure to inspire!

Zines galore: Philly Zine Fest returns!
Get ready to dive into the world of DIY publishing and creative expression at the annual Philly Zine Fest! Whether you’re a seasoned creator or just curious, come browse, trade and buy zines from local and regional makers!

Career matchmaker: Discover your path with MBTI
Who doesn’t love a personality test?! Explore yourself professionally and personally with a guided experience using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Led by Sherri Hope Culver, professor of instruction in the Department of Media Studies and Production and a certified MBTI facilitator, this session will guide you through a self-assessment to uncover your personality type and career motivations. By the end, you’ll have personalized insights to help chart a successful career path!

Looking for a new hobby? Master the skill of crocheting with the Ginsburg Library Crochet Club! Craft seasonal pieces from sweaters to hats alongside attendees of all experience levels. Register ahead of time and bring friends!

She moves mountains: Women’s weight training!
Curious about weight training? Join Ladies Lift at the Aramark STAR Complex! This supportive, early-morning session is designed for women interested in exploring weight training in a comfortable and inclusive environment. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, Ladies Lift provides a welcoming space to build strength and confidence.

Join Campus Rec weekly throughout November for an energetic night of all things net, perfect for unwinding and staying active! Enjoy a fun-filled evening of volleyball, badminton and table tennis every Friday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the 3rd floor rec courts in Pearson and McGonigle Halls.
