Study spots
Prepare for Temple University finals week. Final projects, papers and exams are officially rolling in. As you gear up to tackle your to-do list, step one is finding the perfect study spot. Lucky for you, Temple has plenty of options.

The classics include Charles Library and the TECH Center, both offering extended hours during finals. Charles Library also features a 24/7 workspace, perfect for night owls. If you’re planning to work late, make sure to download the TUSafe app for convenient access to ordering a Flight shuttle. Alternatively, you can call for a virtual walking escort to get home safely.

Looking for a quieter, less crowded option? Explore some hidden study spots around campus.

Study habits
Getting through finals requires a solid plan. Here’s how to get started.

1. Outline your deadlines
Make a list of final exams, project due dates and locations for any in-person tests. Review the official exam schedule to know when and where your exams will be.
2. Create a roadmap
Break down larger tasks into smaller, manageable chunks. Work on a little bit of each project or study session every day.
3. Stay organized
Keep track of your progress with a planner or digital calendar. Write down what needs to get done and prioritize accordingly.
4. Know your productivity peaks
Identify when you’re most focused and schedule your hardest tasks for that time.
5. Take breaks
Recharge by stepping away periodically to maintain productivity and avoid burnout.

Self-care 101
To do your best work, you need to feel your best. Here’s how to practice self-care during finals.

1. Sleep
Aim for at least eight hours a night to keep your mind sharp.
2. Eat well
Fuel your brain with full, nutritious meals. For a treat, grab coffee or lunch from a campus food truck.
3. Stay active
Take breaks to walk around campus or join an IBC fitness class, like Goodnight Yoga, to de-stress.
4. Socialize
Form study groups with friends or simply work side by side for company and motivation.
5. Create a finals playlist
Curate an energizing playlist with songs that uplift and motivate you.

Remember, self-care isn’t selfish; it’s the key to staying focused and delivering your best work. Good luck with finals!
