Take Charge T-Shirt Design Contest
Temple University invites students to participate in its T-shirt Design Contest. Two winning designs will be selected by a panel of judges, and students will vote on their favorite via Instagram. The winning designs will be turned into merchandise, and prizes will be awarded to both winners.

Design Requirements
To be eligible for consideration in the contest, designs

can be in any number of colors and appear on the shirt’s front, back or both. (The shirt itself must be red.)

must include the headline “Take Charge” and the hashtag “#TempleMade.”

must incorporate the official Temple University logo; please email brand@temple.edu for the official logo file.

must not be larger than 15" ✕ 15".

should appeal to the broadest possible audience.
Winners
Each winner will receive $150 in Diamond Dollars. The creator of the design selected by student votes—determined by an Instagram contest on the Temple University (@templeuniv) account during the week of Dec. 15, 2014—will receive an additional $50 in Diamond Dollars. The two winning T-shirt designs will be turned into merchandise.
Submit Your Entry (or Entries)
Submissions must be made by email to brand@temple.edu. Files will be accepted in .pdf, .ai, .psd, .gif and .jpg formats. Submissions will be accepted Nov. 19, 2014, through Dec. 8, 2014, 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern time.
Contest Rules
By participating in the Take Charge T-shirt Design Contest, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Entry: No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Contestants may enter by submitting designs in accordance with the guidelines above. Entries that are not received during the contest period and entries that are deemed inappropriate, offensive or otherwise unusable will not be considered. The university is under no obligation to use any entry or return entries to contestants.
Eligibility: The contest is open only to Temple University students currently enrolled and in good standing. (Employees of Temple University [other than student workers] are not eligible.)
Original Work: Subject to the required inclusion of the headline and Temple logo, entries must be original work of the submitting contestant and not copied from or infringing upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
Ownership and Use of Entries: All entries become the property of Temple University. The university reserves the right to use any and all information related to the contest, including entries provided by the contestants, for editorial, marketing and any other purpose unless prohibited by law.
By submitting an entry, each participant hereby irrevocably conveys, transfers and exclusively assigns to Temple University all rights, title and interests in and to the entry, including all copyrights. Each participant represents and warrants that s/he has full legal right, power and authority to assign and grant the foregoing rights and, if applicable, has secured all necessary rights from any participants in, and contributors to, his/her entry in order to grant such rights. Each participant agrees and acknowledges that Temple University shall have the right to obtain and exclusively hold, in its own name, and to license and assign to others all copyrights, which may be available for the entry, in any and all media and/or formats. Participant agrees to give Temple University any and all assistance reasonably required to protect Temple University’s ownership and exclusive proprietary rights in and to the entry, including the execution of any instruments necessary to evidence, formalize and/or confirm Temple University’s ownership of the entry and/or to execute any instruments required to register copyrights, assignment of copyrights and/or any other documents deemed reasonably necessary by Temple University.
Participant understands and, without limiting the rights granted above, hereby irrevocably grants Temple University and third parties licensed by Temple University the rights to reproduce, market, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform and otherwise commercially exploit the entry for use in Temple University advertising or promotional campaigns conducted by or on behalf of Temple University and/or any other Temple University affiliated organizations.
By accepting a prize, a winner agrees to Temple University’s use of his/her name and/or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known without compensation and, upon request, will provide consent to such use in writing.
Notification of Winner[s]: The winning contestant[s] will be notified by email to address from which the entry was received within three days after the selection of a winning entry. Inability to contact a winner may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
Conduct; Limitation of Liability: All contest participants are bound by these official rules. Temple University reserves the right to disqualify any person found to be tampering with the entry process or otherwise in violation of these rules. Temple University is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected email or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Temple University may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest if, for any reason, the contest does not run as planned, including as a result of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
