Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009 — the first day of the spring semester — is Inauguration Day. Because many Temple instructors and students will be interested in following the historic events in Washington, D.C., the Office of the Provost has announced that instructors who are teaching classes in the 10:10 a.m.-1 p.m. time period are welcome to cancel classes and invite students to watch the presidential inauguration at one of the following locations:

Main Campus

Student Center, room 200

Mitten Hall, Great Court

Temple University Ambler

Bright Hall, lounge

Ambler Learning Center, auditorium

Health Sciences Center

Student Faculty Center

Temple University Center City

Sixth floor lounge

Room 222 (assembly room)

Instructors who wish to cancel classes are asked to notify their deans' offices and students ahead of time.
